What stores in boston sell furniture that is affordable but not too cheap?

I’m looking to buy furniture in Boston that is a step up from IKEA’s prices/quality, but all I’ve found are stores that have nice stuff that is way too expensive, or huge chain stores that are really ugly. Any suggestions for non-modern, low to mid-range Furniture stores? I’m especially looking for wooden book cases.

Craigslist is a good resource. Lots of the time when people move out they plan terribly and end up leaving crap all over the place.

Does it have to be wooden? There’s the ContainerStore.com

Good luck!

You can try this website: http://www.FurnitureX.com

I bought from them once. The quality matches the pictures and they provide free shipping. This is a manufacturer-owned brand. So, their price is pretty good. :)
