What color bedroom furniture goes with yellow walls, white trim, blue checker bedspread?
I have an extra room I need to turn into a guest room. The walls are yellow, and the trim/closet doors are white. I have a nice blue/yellow bedspread that matches the wall, but I need add bedroom Furniture (headboard, nightstand etc.). What color furniture should I use? (Wood – light, white or black OR maybe metal?)
I’d go with white, for either metal or wood. It will look nice and clean along with the white trim. If you choose to do a natural wood, I’d keep it light.
Remember, even though white will show dirt, dark colors show the DUST!
why does our tv channel change when we put the home theatre louder when watching a dvd?
Posted by admin in Home Theatre on March 30, 2010
we hooked up a Home Theatre system to our tv, but whenever we’re watching a dvd and want to put it louder the channel changes, and also when we put the radio on of the home theatre system the tv switches on.
Looks like your TV and the home theater share some IR commands. Rare, but not unusual.
When it is time to watch a DVD, put a little cardboard in front of the IR receiver in the TV, this should fix your problem.
What companies and careers involve a lot of fundraising?
We do a little fundraising where I work, and I’ve proven to really excel at it. I enjoy bringing in money for a good cause, and meeting new people along the way. I’m thinking about making this a larger part of my career choice. I’m wanting to know if there are certain Careers that focus on this, as well as any training programs. Thanks!
I got a GREAT answer for you and one you probably would never think of, you will get the job right away and have fun.
I would be a canvasser for a home improvement company. You go with a group and meet people and set appointments for sales representatives. Just look up a window siding company and ask if they use canvassers. If they do, you got the job. Pays pretty good too. Most make twice minimum wage. They will train you and you can shadow another canvasser while you are learning.
Go get them,
Hope this helps,

What is the best way to learn alternative health techniques and practices?
I have always been extremely interested in alternative health techniques and treatments. I am currently in a very good job that I am not really crazy about. I would like to move into the alternative health field and would like to eventually open a health food store and small health spa. I know it is a process but I want to know where I can start. As far as I know (and I could be wrong) there is no school to go to learn alternative health. I don’t know where to start learning and how. Also for the learning process I need to work around my full time job as I don’t have the option to not work as I need the income. I really want to start learning about this field and just need some suggestions on where and how to start. Is there perhaps a way to be like an apprentice to an alternative practitioner?
What about some books from a health store?
An even better start is a web search in Yahoo for "alternative Health techniques" that will yield at least 412 results including overviews of alternative health techniques and stacks of other useful information for you.
Another useful search in Yahoo for "alternative health practices" will yield at least 2,888 results.
Best alcoholic beverages for someone who is dieting?
I am Dieting but still like to go out drinking every week. What are the best drinks to order that are a little lower in calories so I don’t completely sabbotage my diet?
I don’t know if it’s the best, buy I’m dieting and I drink diet soda and vodka, or diet soda and bacardi.
Can anyone point an Internet marketing newbie in the right direction?
Posted by admin in Internet Marketing on March 30, 2010
I am a total Internet marketing newbie and I feel extremely overwhelmed. I quit my job after I had my son 5 months ago and my husband just got his hours cut back at work, so we need the extra money. I have read in some forums that affiliate marketing can be a great work at home job that I can do part-time and make good money. So, can someone help this newbie out?
I am also a work at home mom, but I have to tell you that affiliate marketing is just not a job. A telemarketer is a job. Internet marketing is a business and you must work hard at your business to make it successful. A lot of people have the misconception that they can, through up a website, add some affiliate links to it and make some good income.
On the contrary, you have to work hard at promoting your site and getting traffic and sales. This is why it is called marketing. You have to market it and market it some more. I don’t want you to get the wrong idea about affiliate marketing and get discouraged after a month or two by not seeing any income come in (which will most likely happen).
When I first starting affiliate marketing from home 3 years ago, I was putting in about 9-10 hour days to get my sites started, do my research, and market my sites to death. I only started to see regular traffic and money come in after about 3-4 months and even then it was only a couple hundred dollars and I had about 5 sites up.
But, after about a year, I was making over $4500 a month and I was only working about 20 hours a week. In the beginning, you really have to work and then as you get your sites more established, you can set things to autopilot and work much less. Now I have 2 kids and make almost 6 figures a year and work about 20-25 hours a week when my kids are sleeping.
I have about 60 niche websites and I am in the process of making 5 more. The sites that are the oldest are the ones that make the most money, with a few exceptions. You will have sites that no matter what you do may just not see conversions or make you the money that you want no matter how much you put into them. On the other hand, you may have sites that do a lot better than you ever thought they would and you only put in a minimal amount of time on them.
For an Internet Marketing newbie like yourself, I recommend that you check out www.mattbacak.com. Even though I have been doing this for 3 years I still subscribe to his Internet Marketing Dirt newsletter and learn new things from it. The Internet is always changing and you must adapt your strategies if you want to really succeed. I wish you all the luck with your endeavor and don’t give up!

preparation for a career in green energy?
Posted by admin in Green Energy on March 30, 2010
i am a student studying law and business (finance) who would like to work in green energy and other areas involved with renewable energy and sustainability. can anyone think of any jobs that i could get involved in within the Green Energy industry that have a finance focus. i was thinking something along the lines of venture capital, advisory, and consulting. can anyone provide me with a rough career guideline on how to get into this sort of work.
I don’t see that your selected majors would be of any particular benefit to "green companies" any more than to any other company – finance majors don’t usually get jobs in companies of smaller than $100mill/yr in sales – my company is in the construction related field and we do $70-80mill a yr and have no need for a finance or law person – I’m the Controller and myself and the CFO handle all the data analysis
no one becomes a consultant in any field without a lot of years of work experience in that field – how can you advise anyone on anything if you haven’t done it a 100 or 100 times already?
What are the positives and negatives of selecting shared hosting?
What are the positives and negatives of selecting shared hosting. Given the choice of shared hosting or dedicated hosting, which would you choose and why?
Few months ago my dad’s company chose shared hosting over dedicated. Personally I was surprised with dad’s decision since dedicated hosting are much better than shared, so I asked him about it and why, and here what I concluded.
First thing I’d like to say is, Shared hosting is better and have the first priority in web hosting companies than Dedicated since there will be more complainers if it went down or anything bad happend
Shared Hosting~
› PROS ‹
► Cheap.
► If by any chance it crashed, you have your other mates (probably 20 other users) who will complain and the server it will up by the web hosting own company in no time.
► Firewalls, Flash, PHP, MySQL and everything else is already installed free and ready to get used.
› CONS ‹
► To be honest, I can’t find any con about it since I couldn’t find any trouble with it plus that I have 2 main .com domains and 27 sub domains, and it runs very smooth and fast plus that every domain and sub got a forum running on each one of them.
Dedicated Hosting~
› PROS ‹
► Faster in loading.
► Sometime can handle a DDoS attack if you have some haters.
► Great for hosting Game Servers or any kind of that servers.
› CONS ‹
► You have to install the firewall on your own, and it must be original and validated.
► You have to install your own AntiVirus and it must be original and validated.
► You have to install your own add-ons and plug-ins.
► Improving RAMs/CPU can cost a lot.
► It needs lots of money to keep up.
► If it crashed, you will never know until you check your website/server by your own since the only moderator will be you.
Finally, I think he chose the Shared server rather than dedicated because his company doesn’t have any gaming servers or any kind of that server and secondly he doesn’t need that ‘hi-tech’ thing because only he need is a forum, a normal PHP files, and some mails at his domain. xD
What are some interesting or exotic pets allowed in Australia?
Okay, well I’m 16 years old. I have epilepsy and have startle seizures so a loud pet isn’t a good choice at all. I am willing to spend a fair bit of money on the animal itself. I live in Victoria, so ferrets and rabbits are legal, but I’m looking for something different see?
I wondered if anyone could list (maybe) as many Pets that I could possibly keep (indoor or outdoor) andd some sources on how to care for it.
How about a veiled chameleon? Here is a care sheet with pictures:
